Hard Coral discoloration & brown spots

Hi! My hard color (pictured) went from a light pink to a white, bleached color, and developed a brown patch at the bottom, which is covering some of the polyps. What is this and how do you cure it?[/img]

That appears to be a plating goniopora. Goni's are not hardy in captivity. It may be recessing and dying. Algae will quickly grow on the dead spots.
