Micro tank success!
I was totally bored one day and was cleaning out my closet when i found a 1 liter, square , platic container i used back when i was 5 to keep a lizard i found outside in! After thoroughly rinsing it out with water, i put some gravel in and 2 pond snails i found my show tank. I later put in a single 1/3 inch of Java moss and an equal sized piece of riccia fluitians. I then found an odd green "hair ball." *side note: anyone know what this hair ball is? i see a tiny ball of this stuff every month. at appears to grow slowly* anyway... in this one liter snail tank, that one tiny hair ball is now taking up up the tank! but i like the hairyness affect of it. The pond snail population has also exploded too. I also found these tiny white things in there too! To me, they look like baby brine shrimp :D but i highly doubt they are of course.
Anyway, heres a pic
This would make an excellent tank for fry. There will be a lot of microscopic plankton in there.
For sure! still surprised that the riccia is doing so well 0_0 as a matter a fact, its pearling like crazy in here!!!!! i never get pearling even in my show tank!
