what to do with one lone Buenos Aires Tetra

So, the fish tank I got from a friend who is moving, as one 10year old Buenos Aires tetra in it. It's been by itself with other misc tetras for many, many years. I figure at 10 years old, how much longer could it live? I would buy it more Buenos Aires Tetras, but I really don't want this type of fish, and when he/she dies I'm stuck with four our five more. Thoughts about what to do? Let it live out it's years alone? Donate it to a fish store? Buy a few more?

This is a case where I would not add more of the species. Better to let the single fish live out its life as it is. I sometimes have a fish species that over time die off, leaving two and then one alone; if I don't want that species any longer I just let it be.
