baby goldfish

ok i just found some baby goldfish in my pond. last time my goldfish spawned it was nearing fall, and we just put the babies in a bowl. they dint get to big until the next year when we put them back in the pond.the only reason they died was becauee a pelican came to the pond do have a little snack. i guess what im asking is should i take the babies out now and place them in a bowl? ill take the goldfish out much later when the weather turns cooler, and fall comes.

hi
if you're worried about flying visitors
nicking the babies, then take them out.
other wise leave them a little longer.

ok i got the baby fishes in a bowl with pond water they were in. they seem happy. im starting to think they might be bristlenose minnows. they look like minnows but have a bit of orange on their bellies, and under the stripe along their bodies. what do YOU think?

You'll need pictures to have their identity confirmed or be patient while they grow.
