Who is the father?
Hi all. 55G with 8 cichlids. None are the same species. No new fish in tank. But somehow my orange cichlid has a mouthful of eggs/fry. I put up a divider yesterday thinking she may "spit" (sorry?) the fry. Should I "strip" the eggs/fry from her and separate her because she might eat them? Or should I leave them alone and wait for them to come out themselves - keeping her divided from the other cichlids? Sorry - never had fry before.

If she has eggs or fry in her mouth leave them be. When they are ready and she is ready they will come out on their own. Trying to remove them will only cause stress and possible harm to the fish.
