What kind of fish is this?
My apologies if I posted in the wrong section but I haven't a clue on what kind of fish this is whether it's a freshwater (my guess) or saltwater.
Any help would greatly be appreciated! :-)

Not sure, but definitly a very interesting looking fish. Welcome to TFK, someone should be able to answer this shortly, if it is a freshwater fish I am sure Byron will know what it is ;-)

It is a fresh water fish and it is part of the killi fish family, I can not think of the species at the moment. It is one of those it's at the tip of my tongue moments.

Its a species of annual killifish. I can't say more then that. Killis are harder to ID then most. The annuals you don't see too often. They also have pretty limited ranges in the wild. You get lots of natural varieties. Basically same species but different coloration. Thats why a lot of times a species name is given as well as a actual location.
