stresscoat to prime

How are you suppose to switch from one conditioner to another? I remember reading somewhere that you're not suppose to go directly from one to another.

I suspect the thinking behind what you read is the danger in mixing chemical substances. Various chemicals can sometimes react with others, producing serious perhaps toxic compounds. Same holds for medications of course.

Water conditioners tend to lose their effectiveness within 24-36 hours, perhaps 48 at the max. So when changing water conditioners, which I have done twice in the past few months, just use the new one at the next water change, which will likely be a week after the last water change with the other conditioner. If water changes have to be more frequent, two days in between should be OK.

Byron.

Okay thanks. Oh and to update you on the Flourish situation my anacharis doubles in size in a week now, and my Sagittaria Subulata has put out at least 4 runners in the last two months.
