I agree that the Octopus is a great little skimmer. You can't go wrong on a 37 with that choice. What is your total budget for this project? It can be helpful to identify this up front, to help make good decisions.
One place you might save money is on live rock. With a tank of this size, creating a substantial rock structure will go a long way to creating success. I personally used dry rock in creating my displays, supplemented with about 20% live rock. The rock in my 180 and 58 came from MarcoRocks Aquarium Products
. I use the Key Largo dry rock, as it is very easy to work with and quickly seeds into live rock. Marco Rocks also offers sand at a great price, so you might look to buy one of their packages.
