How to build waterfall for 100 gal pond.
I have a 100-gal pond made with a prefab liner. I have a 450 gph pump running water through a "make****" waterfall made out of slate stacked on top of each other with two landings. How do I make a "real" waterfall so the water flows evenly along the width of the slate instead of just dribbling? Increasing the water pressure just makes it look like it's coming out of a hose. Appreciate your feedback!
ive never built one but would a home made t valve work for this? The water would run up into the t valve under that top rock. capped on both sides but with drilled holes about 1/2 inch or 1/4 inch openings the length of the top of the t? that way water would seperate and flow depending where you put the holes? and then you could mess with the flow and make the holes larger if needed. not sure if im making sense.
ive never built one either, having said that, i would try a section of PVC pipe at the end with a few small holes drilled in a line down the pipe, say every 1/2'' - 1'' for a 2 foot waterfall it would be a 2 foot piece of PVC with a straight line of the seperated holes drilled down it and a end cap on the end, if this makes any sense.
i dont know how effective this would work but having this kind of spray bar spray onto a rock seems like it would distribute water the length of the pipe.
i would say angle the slate more
