New research into how fish use fins for swimming | News | Practical Fishkeeping
Wow, never thought of it that way. It's almost like how humans have muscles that provide strength and stabilizers to smoothen and coordinate the motion.
Am alway's fascinated by those fishes such as Banjo catfish, and some pleco's,otocinclus, which can get very quick burst's of speed by gulping in water and expelling it across their gills in addition to those fishes who can leap into the air with seemingly little effort.
Even large broad bodied fishes such as Discus,Angelfish,Severum's, can exhibit amazing speed when needed and this alway's proves amazing to me.
