Whos got tattoos? Just wondering how many of you guys and girls have tattoos? If you do, do you ever regret getting it? If so why? Also I would like to see pictures of them if I can. I am thinking about maybe getting a small one but I am a wimp and not sure if I can deal with the pain. How bad does it hurt and were is the least painful place to put one? |
I don't have one myself but from what others have said the more painful areas are where there is not fat or muscle. |
Pain is different for everyone. Depends on your nerves. My buddy has tattoos on both ribs. (BIG) He said they weren't bad at all then you talk to others who have them there and they say it was horrid. Worst spot for me was either my back or my calf. Back was 6+ hours at one. Calf was a couple of sittings. I have the insides of my upper arms done and it wasn't badl. Others say that is the worst spot. Since you are a girl... Do NOT get a tramp stamp, ankle, hip, or shoulder tat. Be original. No Jap symbols on your neck or wrist either. (IMO of course) Inside of my left arm: http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j1...s/P8270222.jpg HR Giger piece. (Not finished) |
Oh and find the BEST tattoo shop around. Travel if you have to. Do not go cheap. This is, of course, on your body permanently. Don't go to the shop downtown because Billy got his first tattoo there and it's AWESOME! Find someone with real knowledge on tattoos or look up reviews, magazine awards, etc. If it's a nice clean shop and their rates are $125/hr+ then that is a good start. http://www.cavemancircus.com/wp-cont...too_fail_9.jpg |
I am thinking something like this one either on my side wrapping around to my back maybe without the flowers or if I do the flowers I would have them colored in: http://ts3.mm.bing.net/images/thumbn...37bebb333decb0 or something like this one on my shoulder or neck: http://ts3.mm.bing.net/images/thumbn...324cb83cb30407 |
The top one looks pretty good. Have a variation custom drawn by the artist. Never get a tattoo straight out of a flash book. Nothing worse that seeing "YOUR" tattoo on someone else. |
Not got a tattoo myself but I think the artwork on some of them is amazing, and you're doing the right thing getting as much advice first, coz once it's there......... Anyway what I wanted to say is my mate had that exact butterfly put on the top of her back last week, I believe it represents Fibromyalgia (although I could be wrong). I'll try to put a picture up but I'm afraid I'm not too good with technology!! Posted via Mobile Device |

Fibromyalgia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Wow what a horrible representation! |
I have one on my back over my right shoulder blade. I was told it would hurt there cause it is close to a bone. It didn't hurt me at all but is like Strand said pain is different for everyone. I don't regret getting it but half the time I forget I have it because of where it is at. LoL |
I have a brother thats really artistic and I was going to see if he can draw me something kind of like those but different or maybe something in memory of my little Granny that passed away a week ago Sunday she was 101 and the best Granny you could ask for. I have heard that if you get a tattoo you can't give blood is that true? |
