No not that fish (the normal looking Jag) but i do have others, here you go. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...0620072421.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...0809sept04.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...00110aug04.jpg |
fab fish, i can't seem to find any pics that look like those first fish ? (but that dosen't surprise me really ) the next pics(thanks for sharing) i can see lots of those. |
Yeah I was thinking that they looked different from normal jags, (in first pic.) The other pics are just of normal jags - not even gold jags look like these ones. Here are some pics of the normal jag pair I had. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...h/SPA50549.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...h/SPA50547.jpg And here is a pic of the pair that the fish in the first pic come from http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...fish/love1.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23.../fish/love.jpg Breeding that yellow (xanthic) male to a normal female people said should produce normal looking jags that posess the xanthic gene, ( heterozygous.) As you can see they do look different to normal jags but they don't look xanthic. I just can't see how people think that they look like a normal jag. Thank you for you comments willow. Shane. |
Yeah, that first picture really shows some odd features for a jag. They don't actually resemble an ideal jag body shape. And they're color is a little off, it could just be the pic from my point of view. I think maybe your yellow male may have a little of something else in him somewhere down the line. That would be highly unlikely...but possible. That would also explain the unexpected outcome. But I really can't say for sure whats goin on there. |
there shape for a Jag of 3inches look fine 2 me, the thing i just cant get is how they look like a normal Jag as in colour? my Xanthic male may look a little mish shapen as one of his gill plates is/has a bad bend in it. but with the way they HAVE come out is cool, and like has been said by both of you "they dont look normal", with crossing things wether it be diff SP. or diff colours no1 can say what the out come will be, them that said "they will look like every other Jag that is going around, but they will carry the Xanthic trait to be bred out" have stuch to what they have said even with looking at these pics, *bangs his head on the wall a few times* lol but all is good and again thank you for your in-put, all is appreciated :D Shane  |
