Koi too big
 

I have a small koi, about 4-5in in a 30g community tank. I needed to put it there because it got too big for its little tank I had before, but now its getting too big again. I have a big steel tub that used to be used for taking baths but no one has used it in years, and I was thinking of filling it up with water and throwing the koi in there. I really don't care that much about the fish, but I don't want to toss it in there if it's going to die for sure. I'm hoping I can put it in there and it will grow. Anyone know if this might be a bad idea? Because the metal in the tank and all that....

If you don't care about the fish then why don't you rehome it to some one that has a pond?

Agree wth Calmwaters. Koi will grow over 2' long. You should allow someone with a pond to take it for you.
