Java? Sword? and what is this?

Ok I remember the LFS said Java for one of these and also said sword for one.

Is the broad leaf one the sword or the java??? Notice in one of the pictures there are roots and plantlets growing right on the back of the leaves not at the tip as I thought Java fern does. So is it a Java???? One of the babies I removed and planted by the little rock.

The other one I want to know if anyone can ID it and IF it is really a water plant or is it some kind of bog or house plant stem??? Should it be emergent? or submerged ok.

the plant in the last 3 pics is definitely Java Fern. and you shouldn't "plant it" and bury the rhizome.

i don't know what the plant in the first pic is. don't know if it can grow in a pile of rocks like that.

i don't think the first one should be submerged but thats imo

Thanks kitten. The "baby plants" growing from back of the plants leaves instead of the tips is what threw me off. Fish uprooted the baby plant so it is floating for a while. Going to tie it to a piece of driftwood later.

The second is in quarantine so not buried yet. Awaiting arrival of the tank I want to put it in IF I can identify it as an aquatic plant for sure.

At least I know then the one in the community tank is the sword and this one is the Java. So I know which to tie and which to plant.

The first plant is an aluminum plant, and not an aquatic. Place it in a pot of soil and place it in the window
. It should not be planted underwater.

I suspected as much redchigh. Will do as don't want anything deteriorating because it isn't an aquatic.
