Fish Tank Help
I am currently looking to change up my fish tank and have a question.
Right now I have a dwarf gourami, a red platy, 2 guppys, 3 rasboras and 2 neon tetras.
I am looking to sell my 2 neons and possibly the red platy.
My question is that afterwards, would tiger barbs get along with any or all of the original fish?
Also, if not, would getting two more rasboras be a good idea? would they school with the 3 current ones or would the be "left out" because they are from a different store and different time?
Thank you and sorry if this was a question already asked or common knowledge...
I'm not expert on the barbs, but know that Tiger Barbs are considered semi-aggressive and tend not to be good candidates for the community tank. I'm not 100% sure about your Rasboras, but most shoaling fish somehow know there own kind and tend to school together regardless of their origin. I have found this to be true with my neon tetras.
tiger barbs and guppies are a no no.they will harass and nip the guppies.try to add at least 3 more rasboras they will swim together when frighened or stressed.don' be alarmed if hey are not swimming togeher all he time
Rasbora are shoaling fish, needing to be in a group; six is considered minimum, more if space allows is better. What size tank do you have?
Yoou can read about fish species in our profiles, second tab from the left in the blue bar across the top. Rasbora are under the Cyprinids category. If you have the cmommon Harlequin Rasbora you can click on its name to see that profile for info on this species. Several other rasbora species are also in the profiles.
