penguin tetras doing great!!!
I just purchaced eight penguin tetras for my 100 gallon tank and they are doing awsome, awsome, awsome.I have six lemon tetras, two corys, one bristlenose and five silver dollars. At first i was worried that the penguins would be the aggresive bunch but they are all getting along great.I was lucky getting them cause of all the hot weather the upper 100's every day for a month now my local fish store was not getting any shipments lately.I havent decided what to get next but Im more than happy for now.Well maybe another bristlenose but asfar as another shoaling fish Im going to relax a little and take my time and do my homework again before i get some more fish.Have Fun and Enjoy Life.
Erm... you do realize silver dollar fish get fairly large(up to 6", you can click on the name to see more information) and have a tendency to eat smaller fish(looking at your lemon tetras here). Also on a side note cories are happier in groups of 6+. Much more interesting to watch them then as well.
Grast on your penguins :)
Thanks for the info.My SD are only one to one and a half when I got them and got the lemon tetras a week after.Theyre about three inches now.Hopefully they will get along as they grow together and get along.I will keep an eye out for the lemons t's as the SD get bigger.Hopefully it wil work out Idont want to get read of any of them.
