Good Experience with Local Pet/Fish Store
Yesterday I visited a couple of the local pet/fish stores, unfortunately in my small town there is no dedicated fish store. Luckily with the smaller pet stores in the area they do have a decent selection on fish, and one in particular seems to have staff that is fairly knowledgable when it comes to fish. I stopped back by that particular store, a pet provisions to take another look at a couple of platys that I had seen after doing the rest of my running. While I was there I started talking with one of the employees and found that she knew her stuff when it came to fish. Not only that but she also asked customers the basic questions such as what size tank they have, if it has been cycled and what type of fish they have when helping to make a decision on fish. We also talked about the foolishness of some people, such as those who think that they can buy fish, keep them in their car while they go out to have dinner when the temps are close to 100, and then think they can return the fish for new ones
I did end up getting two more girls to add with everyone else, one is a peppermint platy and the other is a dawn platy. Will try to get some pictures of them here soon.
It's a good thing :) I moved too far away from my fav. fish store and really miss having a place that knows their stock and takes great care of their tanks.
Looking forward to your Platy pics.
