how come my Balloon Belly Mollies keep on dieing?

I had 4 of them, not all at the same time. 2 died aready in a 3 month span. The two that died are males. They just stay at the bottum and or go up to the top of the tank and suck air in. I have a air rock. then they loose a lot of weight and its really sad. Now, I have only 2 females. IM really afraid they will die soon also, because they both been doing the same thing the previous fish have done. They eat and there is no sign of ick. I tested everything, nirtates, nitrites, chlorine,ph,ammonia, and alkaline, acidic. and thats is, the temerature is 78 degrees Fahrenheit.
Please tell me is I am doing somthing wrong.
Thank u!(:

It would really help if you could state exactly what the water parameters are, and is your water alkaline or acidic?

What is your tank maintenance schedule and how much/often do you do partial water changes? If it is the same 10g. tank as in your profile, I do think you are a little overstocked and the filtration you have may not be sufficient.

Minimum Tank Size: 30 gallons,68-82 F, KH 10-25, pH 7.0-7.8 In the freshwater aquarium, a teaspoon of aquarium salt per gallon is recommended for optimum health.Java fern, Sagittaria, Vallisneria and Anubias are the plants they like. They require a good filtration system because the love to eat

does your tank fit this description?

Balloon mollies are hybrids, and they are "ballooned" due to a physical deformity, which weakens their immune system and causes multiple health problems.
