Breeding feeder ghost shrimp???
How do you breed ghost shrimp and can they be breed in a 10 gallon empty tank.
I would like to breed them for feeders for cichlids and a ghost knife and i was wondering are they hard to breed?

They are not the easiest shrimp top breed that is for sure. I have seen articles on breeding them and all of them suggest haivng what oyu are talking baout. A tank for them only with lots of little places for them to hide and seclude themselevs for laying the eggs. They also seem to prefer a harder water with a pH above 7.4 for breeding and for best health.
Give it a shoit and who knows, it might work well but if you really want to breed a lot of shtimp, I think that Cherry Red Shrimp would be a better way to go as everyone I know that breeds them say they breed by the hundreds. All they need is some Java or other moss and a good food source.

well the only shrimp i can get besides ghost is bamboo which are expensive i guess i can try to breed them in a 10 and ill use river rock for hiding spots as they can hide in that (from them being in a 10 gallon community). So what would you feed them exactly as of now they feed on un eaten fish flakes and brine shrimp.... that is missed by the other fish in the tank.

i got about 50 today and am going to end up with 25 for breeding. The only problem is they had feeder guppies in with them so now iv got 20 guppies. There was also a flying fox but it died on the way home.
