Angelfish in a 30
 

Can it be done? I would really like angelfish and I have a 30 that just melted down, partly because of my own inexperiance :-(. But that is in the past, and I want to get it back up and running and was wondering again about angelfish in my 30 gallon, like how many and those numbers.

It need to be at least 18 inches high.

Instinctively I would say no but the dimensions will be important.

Bf:

1) You are definitely "on the right track here" with respect to the depth of the tank being one of the major controlling factors but

2) and please excuse me here but IMHO in order to raise angels to their full size a 30" deep tank is necessary.


Please note that "I really hope that 2) is correct" or I have spent "maybe 25% more" on this money pit (which I call my aquarium) than was necessary.

i meant 18 inches is the minimal depth but i would go for 30 plus as you have said

sorry this took so long, but it is a 24x12x18 bow front

if it where me i would say no. i would make a nice tiger barb tank out of that.
