What Books are you Reading?
Hi all, as the title says... what books are you reading right now, and would you recommend them :D
I've just finished reading Left for Dead - Beck Weathers. It's a true story about a climber stranded on Mount Everest in the killer storm of 1996 - and it was absolutely gripping. A very interesting read (especially if you're into all things Everest).
I'm now reading The Long Walk - Stephen King (written under the pseudonym of Richard Bachman). Another excellent story, this is about a gruelling 450 mile marathon walk in America of the future, where each walker's life depends on outwalking the other 99 competitors. As usual, King delves quite deeply into the personalities and relationships between the different characters, and I can't put this book down.
call of the wild
I love that book Joe, have you also read White Fang?
I just finished "An Acceptable Time" by Madeline L'Engle, and am starting a Star Trek: The Next Generation novel.
I have read Call of the Wild. I loved it. I have yet to read White Fang, although I do own it.
Guppygirl, did you ever read, "A Wrinkle in Time" by the same author? I read it as a child, amazing book!
"A Witch Amongst us" By Lois Bourne,on going at the moment.
