Bowing tank!!! HELP!!! Ok so I bought a 20g high Topfin aquarium and the front glass is bowing!!!! slightly... but i just bought it... worried about 2 years down the road... please help... im thinking of just bringing it back to the store.. :-( |
How is it bowing? You shouldn't need to worry about bowing glass on a 20 high its 2 feet long with no braces =/ |
If you think that the glass is bowing I would take it back to the store and replace with a new one if you are able. It is better to be cautious then to wake up one morning to find 20 gallons of water on the floor and dead fish. I would not think that there should be bowing on a 20 gallon, is it sitting on a stand and level? To me it sounds like it could be a defect in the glass. |
Yea, definately take it back, they might have used thin glass. That thing should show absolutely no signs of bowing. |
Ok I brought it back.. and apparently Top Fin brand sucks.. lol. I bought a 10g Top Fin awhile ago too, and that was also bowing the first week... So.. with that in mind, I avoided Top Fin and got an Aqueon Tank instead. No bowing, and the glass is thicker. I want my tank to last years.. not months.. |
lol,caution makes perfect...keeping fish is a skilled work!!! |
Thats wierd. I had a 125 gallon Top Fin for over 10 years without an issue. Never know I guess. |
