Want to start another 20gal

I was wondering who has ideas on what to do with a spare 20gal that I have laying around. I already have 2 saltwater and 1 freshwater. So I figured I would start anouther 20 gal freshwater but have know idea of what.

You could have a shrimp farm, or a snail farm, or use it to grow plants, or make it a vivarium or paludarium. Just a few ideas. :)

Or maybe a community of harlequin rasboras, jellybean rasboras and kuhli loach.:welldone:

I adore kuhli loach. I own 10 in my tank but will be adding soon.

Joe, I wouldn't go over a leaffish unless Usmc is ready to shell out cash on live prey.
As for puffers, some will require brackish to full marine conditions as they grow. Dwarf puffers would be the best bet.

And you can't keep DPs with anything else, so you would have a tank of only them. Kind of limits your choices when you go to the fish store wanting a new fish. . .

What about a planted tank with dwarf cichlids and tetras?

I may be wrong, but maybe a 20-gal isn't that big to keep tetras and cichlids together, even if the tank is planted. I was under the impression that large tanks are better to keep them together. But, I could be wrong as I said. Better get a majority opinion before you listen to me.

Maybe you could do like a crab tank? Or snails. Then you could keep a few small fish like tetras or something with them. I'd love to do purely a snail tank if I ever had the space and money. :D
