Aponogeton rhizomes
 

Hi,
About 10 days ago I threw in 4 aponogeton bulbs at the bottom of my 55 gallon tank. The tank is currently being cycled. The rhizomes have sprouted and the leaves are about 2-3 inches long. I was wondering when I should put the rhizomes into the substrate. There is a layer of laterite right underneath a 1 inch layer of gravel.

Sorry, I just saw this.

I never plant the rhizomes into the gravel. They will root on their own. If you bury them, they may rot.
