3 mollies in a 2.5 gal tank!!!!
i donated my 2.5 gal tank to my mom for her desk at her office. we had planned on getting her a betta and some small snails. her boss went out for "coffee" and came back with 3 mollies! she doesnt want to hurt his feeling by taking them out, plus she has no where to put them. there is no heater, and underground filter, and fri- mon theres no one at the office to feed, turn lights on ect. this is driving me crazy, im so anal about over crowding. i have a 55 gal. and a 10 gal home and theres no room for them in my 10 gal but some in my 55 gal. im not a huge fan of livebearers all my fish are egg layers. i really don t want to put these fish in my tank but i dont want them to die either. what would you do?

Maybe she could go out for "coffee" and take them back to the store, to make it look less obvious she could do it one by one over a couple of days? I know what you mean it's a bit of a dilema because he ovbiously thoguht he was doing well. Let me know what she decided to do.

sorry it took so long for me to repost ive been quit busy lately. well two days after the mollies were put in the tank one died... my mom for some unknown reason went to the store and baught a betta and a small algea eater! a total of two mollies, one algea eater, and one betta! shes driving me nuts. the next day the tank was sooooo clouded, red cloud, you couldnt even see the fish! i took the whole tank home put the betta in a plant vase and the others in a breeding box in my 55 gal. i boiled all the gravel, decorations, and plants. the tanks been running for two days now and everything is fine so far. one of the mollies died so now im putting back a molly an algea eater and a betta. the bettas already in the tank and the others still in my 55. im going to wait a while befor adding them back to see if theyve been permentely damaged. sorry so long its been a while and a lot has happened.
