Angel Fish Eggs
I have a 55 gallon long tank that contains 3 angel fish, 2 kissing gouramis, 2 opaline gouramis, 6 cory cats, 1 rubber lip pelco, and a killi fish. All get along fine.
About 2 weeks ago I notice about 50 eggs on my filter intake tube. Some were white others clear, and 2 of my angels were fanning them. I have no plans on breeding, so I let the eggs go and they must of gotten munched on. But now to my surprise this morning there is another batch of 50 or so eggs.
If they keep laying eggs should I try to breed then? The female is a marbled and the male is well I am not sure, he has some yellow on him, but mostly silver with black bars.
If I do plan to go through what are the steps that are needed and what size tanks and equipment is needed?
Well I know my LFS will take them, I have mentioned to them about the eggs they seemed interested if I did start breeding.
Thank you for the information! Between what you have given and what I can find online I should be set. I may not try to breed soon, since I am so busy with work but when it comes to fall time I may try it. Fall is usually my down time at work.
