Where to get a CO2 cylinder/fill-up?
Where in the US (Northern VA) do you think I could get a 5lb CO2 bottle and get one filled? Home Depot? Loews?
Welding supply store, sporting facility that does paint ball cylinders, machine shop or similar.
I was quoted 115$ for a 5lb bottle (with bottle) of CO2! about twice what I was expecting. How long would that last for a 90gal and PH around 6.5-7?
That seems really high. I think I have seen others that have gotton 5lb. bottles for $70 or there abouts. I would go for a 10lb though just because of the szie of the tank. I think every gallon of CO2 last about a week per 50 gallons but this is just off the top of my head. Most say that a 55 can run off a 5lb for about 6 months give or take depending on how high your CO2 levels are.
A local paintball field says 4$/20oz == 16$/5lb. So maybe the other place thought I said 50lbs? No idea.
