Odd Behaviour. Is it sick?
Hey all. Now its not mine but a mate of mine, his goldfish has grown rather fond of swimming upside down. It isn't always at the surface which i think is a good sign. But i would say its sick due to the whole fish going belly up thing. Any help would be appreciated.
its probably a swim bladder problem, the swim bladder is an organ in the stomach area that is filled with water to keep the goldfish floating right side up, if it were to pe punctured or in some cases if the goldfish is constapated it might swim oddly. some people have thawed out peas and fed them to the fish as a natural laxative. pics would REALLY help? it might be dropsy?
i wasnt suggesting puncturing the fish, ive heard on other sites that something in the goldfish (even possibly dropsy) can puncture the swim bladder, dont know if its true or not but its what ive heard.
