Can somebody identify my cichlids' type ??
I was not very fond of cichlids. But i saw them today at LFS and was impressed by their activity. So, i bought two pairs for understanding em. The person at LFS knew little abt em. So, can some expert ID my cichlids for me.
Here is the pictures where i ve numbered em 1,2,3,4.

Thanx in advance for ur help.
4 is a zebra obliquidens from lake victoria for sure.
But the other 3 have me a bit puzzled. 1 looks to be a peacock hybrid. 2 might be a young fryeri? And 3 might be a very stressed Aulonocara Maulana. Sorry I can't give you a definate ID on the last 3. Maybe someone else can. What were they labeled as? When you use the term "pair" by the way it refers to a male and female of the same species usually preparing to or has already spawned together.
Thanks for the vid it did help. 2 i still believe is a young fryeri. 3 and 4 however both look to be OB peacocks. Although if you purchased these fish in a big tank labled "Cichlid(<correct spelling not sichlid)", they all very well could be hybrids. Unfortunately hybrids are very common among africans because people let them breed in a big community tank and then take them back to a LFS and could care less what they are. Nothing wrong with keeping them just don't breed them together but they look to be all young males so me.
Thanx for the help..
2 i believe is Blue Peacock (Aulonocara)
OB peacocks...so i ve bought hybrids....:(
And u said all male..is it cuz if the red shades on the belly?
It's possible 2 is a blue peacock but until it gets older I can't be for sure. I said all males because almost all young peacocks look exactly the same, greyish/silvery fish(contirubutes to the identification and hybrid problem) and all female peacocks look similar because they keep that grey coloration while the males will sport the nice colors the species is known for.
