Info regarding Peacock Eel

So i saw a peacock eel at a LFS and was wondering are the closy related to the tire track eel? From things i were reading they get about 12 inches but the say that at a tank the max is about 6-7 inches and they are also good for a community tank.. as long as they are not smaller then 1".. Was wondering if the was true and if anybody else knws more info about them..

thank you
jep

I believe there is a member with this fish, but can't remember who. Anyway, remember this is a predator and will eat small fish, so as it attains 6+ inches this will limit tankmates. I gather it remains hidden most of the time, likes to bury itself in the substrate.
