55 gallon tank

How long does it generally take to do a water change for a 55g and 75g and how much water do you change?? Im assuming you dont carry buckets back and forth.

I used buckets. It takes me 40-50 minutes to carry out water changes and gravel vacuuming for a 75 gallons. I do nearly 50% water change daily.

Why dont you use a hose or one of those things called a python??

Depending on the bioload but I feed several times a day in small rations and several of my fish are just greedy feeders.;)

I do a 25% change every other week. I figure that the plants give me a rally good ammonia and Nitrate buffer. I use a 7 gallon bucket rather than a python so I can see if I have sucked up any baby cories. Probably takes 25 to 30 minutes end to end, another 10 to 15 for monthly filter maintnance
