Can a plant survive in tap water?
Would it be smart to keep an underwater plant in tap water for the time being?
I do not know that this is necessary but IMHO I would dechlorinate the water.
In addition if it is a typical tropical aquatic plant you will need to maintain the water temperature just as you would with your fish.
Tap water would be better than straight RO water. And as Jonesy has stated the tap water should be dechlorinated. Ro water has been stripped of all of its minerals and such.
Hmm, never thought about dechlorinating water for plants. Might be why I had a problem with my emersed growth.
