A new member saying HI!
Just joined and I'm excited to learn more about this hobby and meet other fish fan. As you can see from my signature ... assuming I did it correctly;-) I'm a big barb fan. Looking to eventually get a 120 gal mostly barb tank heavily planted with soil / dirt, PFS and gravel.
My current tank was set up in Feb so it's relatively new ... and I've got the Brown Algae to prove it!
Glad to be a member, hope to hear from you all.
Hi Barbman welcome to Tropical Fish Keeping!

Hi Barbman :)
Welcome to TFK from a fellow barb lover. I'm a big fan of my green tiger barbs (fondly called little monsters).
They're really feisty and are the only ones to nip at my arms when I do plant maintenance.
Welcome Barbman to TFK. Sounds like a fabulous project.... hmmmm 120 gallons..... that puts my 75er to shame.
Fiesty, obnoxious, just a bully! ... oh wait .. I'm describing my son's Redtail Shark! I'm beginning
to think they've been with each other so long ... my Barbs are forgetting how to act like obnoxious,
fiesty Barbs! .... I suppose I could toss an angel or betta in there to see if they remember:twisted:
Ok ... maybe not!
Actually ... they do show that streak usually in the evening ... they are fun to watch ... especially when males go at it for dominance of the shoal!
My Green Barbs are my favorite as well, followed by the BRB and then the Denisons.
That's ok ... in my mind my future 120 gal puts MY 75 to shame;-)
Yeah I just set up a 75 gallon last May and keep looking at it thinking that the wall would look better with a 125 gallon in front of it
welcome to the tropical fish keeping forums!!!
