My convicts just laid eggs!!!
Okay - I know they breed better than rabbits, but I am certainly excited!!!
Victoria (the mom) is guarding the little "nest" and looks a little beaten up.
Albert (dad) is just patrolling the tank.
I am hoping that the pleco is going to make it after the fry are out, not to mention the older siblings.
This isn't their first batch, but it is with me. A friend gave me them for free with ~20 babies. I am so I am a little thrilled.
I guess now is the time to decide what to do with the babies once they are out... so I might be looking at some oscars.... (btw - already checked with the only lfs in 100 miles that takes fish, and they wont take convicts at all!)
well you will now have lot of convicts. Goodluck
yes I will -
I have a friend who has already said she will take some of the fry and some juvenile ones. She has a 30g tank. She also said my goldies might eat the fry too... hmmm... not sure about that... So I think that I'm going to be okay as far as stocking....... but......
I think I really would rather have pink convicts instead of blue..... so I might pick up a pair some day.
There are pink convicts?
