cichlids and bala sharks

I am attempting to rehome my bala sharks and my neighbor has offered to take them. They are about 3 1/2 inches long and he has convict cichlids. Will these get along with my sharks?

to my knowledge they will get along, though i wouldnt trust me on it. i had a bala shark and he was the most peaceful fish ever, so if the convicts are peaceful they should be fine

i must ask, how big is your neighbour's tank? bala sharks grow to a foot long, so they will need a very big tank

Thanks for your response. My neighbor's tank is I think about 75-100 gallons, but I did some reading and it seemed like the convicts are pretty aggressive. I did return the sharks to the pet shop where I bought them. We did enjoy them, but they were simply getting too big for my tank.
