Fish with strange white blotch
This is a Spotted Raphael Catfish that I have had for a week (in quarantine). I was going to move him (along with the other one, and a new Rubber Pleco) tonight to the other tank but I noticed this large blotch on him/her. It kind of looks like something might have been eating at him/her but I didn't want to move them into the Discus tank until I was sure it is safe! Please have a look at the pic below and tell me what you think it is. Thanks!

The pic is blurry because he wouldn't stop moving but you can still see the large white blotch just behind his head, before his fin.

The plecostomus may have taken a nibble out of him. Treat the injury with Pimafix and Melafix (I don't like to use harsh antibiotics and prefer to use natural herbal products) and keep an eye on him. I would also add a little StressCoat for good measure since it contains aloe and promotes healing.

Thank you. So it would be OK to move the other two to the big tank, but should I leave the injured one in the hospital until he recovers? Or would it be OK to move him as well?

As long as the other two look healthy, you may move them. I think I would leave them in quaratine for a few more days to make sure that they are in good health and won't endanger the fish in the other tank.
