i was wonder ing if i can put 2 silver dollars, clown pleco, gold gourmi, in my ten gallon withe my betta and 3 ghoust shrimp. the shrimp are being moved though to another tank also how long to the shrimp live 4
In my opinion, everything mentioned will be too big for the ten gallon tank.
Silver dollars can get up to 8 inches, and the gourami and clown pleco can both get up to 6 inches.
I think ghost shrimp live for 1-2 years.
everyone said that a fish can only grow to be as big as the enviroment lets them but thats not true i thought that the silver dollars will only grow to be 5 inch
nvm the silver dollers and stuff i will try putting 3 tiger barbs, 1-2 yoyo louch and maybe a few tetras
I hate to be annoying, but I think you're still pushing it.
Tiger barbs are a schooling fish, and 3 isn't enough, you'll need at least 5 if you want them to be peaceful. Also the yo-yo loach is the same way, they like to school, and needs at least 3. These loaches require a MUCH bigger tank with at LEAST three feet of horizontal swimming space, hence they are active swimmers. They also get 6 inches!
I would not recommend tiger barbs for a 10g, they require a lot of moving room. Also, in groups of 3, they tend to get aggressive against other occupants.
Likewise, yoyo loaches get to 6" in size, too big for a 10g. I would stick with tetras or rasboras, but stick with slower moving fish as faster fish such as penguin tetras will eat the food before your betta gets a chance.
