Snail with crack...is it OK

1 Attachment(s)
Hi everyone,

Are you all getting tired of me yet?

I have a mystery snail that looks like it now has a crack in it's shell. I have attached a picture. He seems to be behaving fine, seals himself in his shell without difficulty (as far as I can tell).
(The crack is on the right side of the picture)

What do you think? Is this snail OK?

Thanks for your help.

BTW: Water pH 7.8 (prior to yesterdays water change. Haven't checked it since)
ammonia 0
nitrite 0
Nitrate 20
GH 8
KH 4

More information:

I actually just took him out of the tank. He can't completely seal himself inside because of the crack. I can see the crack when looking up through his trap door.

Check applesnail.net. Mystery snails are really just apples.

Thanks, I have already been on their site. Posted the same picture and question. Just hedging my bets and putting the info up in multiple places.

Thanks again.
