Pics of my pond/waterfall

So... I am well aware that my 3 Butterfly Koi will eventually outgrow my pond, but I am going to donate them to a lovely local Japanese garden that has a several-acre lake with Koi already in it.

That aside, my 100g pond has 3 Butterfly Koi, 2 Shubunkin Goldfish, Lily pads, and Dwarf Cat tails. The cat tails are just now coming out of the root ball, and some of the Lilys are rotting (we bought the plant live from a pond store, it has lots of new growth but they are not at the surface yet.) The dark green lily pad with the white flower is fake, LOL. We are going to re-arrange the rocks to cover the plastic edges, and going to get a bigger capacity pump for the waterfall. (It has a 700 gph now, planning a 1400-1500 gph) The plants in the garden around it are different varieties of Hosta, ornamental grasses, and a Japanese Maple in the back corner for another focal point. We have done tons of work to this pond but like everything else its still a work in progress. :-)

Thanks Ashley! :-) We used to rent as well, had this house for the last 4 years.

Going to go outside later and see if I can get a few pics with the pond light and landscape lights on.

Looks great! I especially like all the Hostas behind the waterfall with the Japanese Maple. Will look real nice once the maple grows a bit more. Good job.

Thanks Willow!!!! We didn't make it bigger because it is a plastic pre-form. Hubs bought it off craigslist at the end of last summer. We got all the slate and rocks from a local rock/landscape place. The pond came with the Koi and the filter with the mushroom head on it. We added the Shubunkins and the other filter box attached to the waterfall pump, and finally got some plants in it. My swing on the deck is right near it. Its lovely :-)

I'd love to see yours!
