Hey Kathstew <3
I would say it is a she, just because from what I've read the females have more of a brownish and silvery sheen to them and they also have a rounded dorsal fin. Hopefully this is correct, and it helps. Plus congrats on your lovely new gourami baby

Thank you for commenting! Thats what I was thinking as well, especially with the rounded dorsal fin. I appreciate the help! And thank you ^_^ I adore her/him. She/he is very fiesty, and super cute! She/he was so excited to get into its new tank, it bit a hole in its bag, while I was getting it ready to be put in the tank. :3

Anyone else want to confirm the gender for me please?
Its kinda young but at this point I would have to say female.

At this stage, I would go along with "female" as well. She is cute!

I would also confirm a female. Also that coloration of the honey gourami is sometimes referred to as 'Flame'. Hope this helps :)

The photo in our profile [click on shaded name, Honey Gourami] shows a m/f pair, and there is an indication of external differences in the text.
