My 56 gallon - Week 5 1/2
1 Attachment(s)
Well, it's been 5 1/2 weeks since I set up my 56 gallon column. Since the initial set up I have added some various river rocks and several more plants. It is also home to 5 neon tetra, 3 black neon tetra, 5 diamond tetra, and 7 harlequin rasbora.

I have been dosing Seachem Flourish Comprehensive twice a week and recently added Seachem Flourish root tabs.

I will be adding 5 panda corydoras in the next month or two, then 3 oto catfish and 2 gold Mikrogeophagus ramirezi at some point after that. I also intend on purchasing ~10 malaysian trumpet snails to aid in the clean up.

Wow - nice tank. If you want some MTS, I have a some you can have (just pay shipping or we can trade. I'm looking for floating plants). I'm in SC, so should go quick with USPS. My MTS shells look a little rough on their tips due to the low pH in tank they are in, but they are in good health and have never been in a tank with fish, so should be disease-free. Got them from another forum member and they are breeding like mad!

I would definitely pay shipping for some! Let me know what I need to do.

I just got the majority of my floating plants about a week or week and a half ago so they haven't quite established themselves. If they are starting to get to be too much in a month or so and you are still interested I would be willing to offer you the same deal, just pay shipping.

Thanks for the compliment by the way!

We can PM the details. I just did a quick count and I can easily spare a dozen or so med-large MTS - all thanks to aunt kymmie. She sent me literally a zip-loc bag full of MTS a month ago and the number has at least tripled since then in my QT tank.

Ok - I checked on mailing $$. Looks like $5.20 or so should cover mailing. How about we make it $5.50 even to cover the zip-locs I'll need to pick up before I can send them? I'll make sure to double or triple-bag them. Please PM me your mailing info.
