Red Glass Barb

I have a dwarf gourami, mollies, a platy, giant danios, and marble hatchets. Could a group of red glass barbs co-exist with them?

Yes.

Pray tell, what is a red glass barb? I've run across two references to glass barbs in fishbase, one Indian and one African, but other than those I've never hear tell of either before, let alone red glass barbs.

I had done a research and was thinking he may be talking about rosy barbs.:? My answer is based on rosy barbs.

red glass barbs

i have 5 red glass barbs and they are a cousin of rosy barbs but are NOT the same!! definitely semi aggressive, they pick on my paradise gouramis!! so keep a wary eye out. good eaters and very colorful, definitely a favorite of mine.

Lupin,
I believe the fish in question is indeed Barbus conchonius, my loach-loving friend. Just a color morph of the ole Rosy Barb, the body clarity the only difference.
Attractive fish, they, though they do reach six inches, necessitating a good-sized tank to keep a proper school of them, which of course negates the problems with aggression.

Dave
