hello!! tis plumkin with a question :)

i bought this sand for my other 75 gallon tank that is cycling its pretty perfect the way i set it up tho.

the sand says it washed dried ready to use or something like that heres a pic did i get the right sand? should i put it in buckets of water or how do i do this i never used sand.. were doing a spongebob theme O_O;; hehe:rolleyes:

Hiya! Always wash the sand you'll be using, even if the bag says pre-washed. It might be washed for human standards, but for fish, there'll be lots of fine dust all over! Easiest way to wash the sand is in buckets and a hose; agitate the sand while rinsing with water, and you'll notice that the water will get super cloudy. Keep on repeating until the water is clear when you rinse the sand. Its easy, but time consuming! Good luck!
