Stocking questions and compatibility? Hi! Okay, so I have a fishless cycling 36 gallon tank and have been trying to do some fish research and put together a stock list in the meantime. It seems like a lot of the fish I like do not actually go together, so I have been making a lot of changes. Even the list I have now, there are fish that don't totally go, but I'm wondering if it's possible? I really like gourami, so I was trying to include some. And I thought a peaceful cichlid would be awesome, but I heard that gourami and cichlid do not go. Is that true even if the cichlid is fairly peaceful and they occupy different levels of the tank? Anyway, below is my stocking list and I am just wondering if the fish will be able to get along and work well in the same environment. 5 Julii Cory 6 Rummynose Tetra 4 Glofish 2 Dwarf Gourami 2 Kribensis If this does not work at all, what changes should I make or what are some other options of compatible fish? Just some background info, the ph of our tap water is 7.8 and we have black gravel. Thanks! |
Rather than repeating it, I will point you to the profiles since all those fish are included; info on compatibility, water requirements, tank sizes and numbers will be found in the profile. Click on the shaded names in your first post to see the respective profile. Rumynose is under Brilliant Rummy Nose Tetra and the Glofish is actually a modified form of the Zebra Danio. Byron. |
Alright, thank you! |
