Hi

Hi all,

My name is Stephen DiGiacomo. I live in Conway, AR with my beautiful wife Amy and we have two boys, 20+ fish, and 2 chickens.

I've had a 20 gallon tank for the last year, and just upgraded to a 36 gallon for my birthday. It's been a lot of fun to set it up right for plants and fish, and interesting to figure out the CO2 and Oxygen/PH balances.

We have mostly beginner fish, non-aggressive, and easy plants. I'm hoping to move more into aquascaping.
:-)

Welcome Stephen and Amy and family to TFK. Hello from Ontario!

Hi Stephan! Welcome to TFK!!
I'm curious about your chickens. How often do they lay and how noisy are they? I've always wanted to keep a pair but it's against my city's civil code. Are they quiet enough I could keep two in the backyard and no one would ever know?? Nothing beats freshly laid eggs. :-)

Theres a code against chickens? O_o Isnt it just like keeping any other bird as a pet?

Welcome to the forum Stephen!

Welcome to the forum Stephen!

Yes, there's a civil code against keeping poultry in my city. :-(
I may just get a few anyway. If I get popped they can go to my friend who has a chicken coop in the next city over.

SinCrisis 05-12-2011 08:28 PM

not allowed? its always better to ask for forgiveness than to ask permission. Just get the chicken, deal with the problems later.

well the rality is,i've nowhere to put nigel anyways to be honest,
