Female or sick pygmy cory?

1 Attachment(s)
I was about to feed my cories but I'm worried one might be sick. I got my cories at juvenile age, so it might be possible this is a female. But I'm not sure.... There is a red dot on his/her tummy...

So, is there something wrong or is it a female?

I can't see a red dot in the photo, that could be trouble. But aside from that, the fish on the right appears to be a female, they are naturally rounder. The left fish might be a male or another female, I cannot see it well enough in the photo.

Do you just have two? Corys are shoaling fish, they live in large groups, and should always have several in the aquarium. This species in particular is highly social, and a group of 7 is a good number, even in a 10g tank. No mention is made of your aquarium size, but if it is 10g or larger, 7 of these would be much better. They are less stressed in groups and thus much more likely to be healthier. Their antics when they chum around together is wonderful to observe.

You can read more about them in our profile, click on the shaded name, Pygmy Cory.
