what is this,
 
this came with a coral rock we found while snorkeling. can anyone identify this for me. it has only come out at night. thanks

its probably a flatworm of some sort. i would remove it for the fact that ou dant knoe if its good or bad. and if you have corals it may eat them.

Would agree with the flat worm theory... but collecting rocks while snorkeling :dunno:

what do you mean by that?

back to the flatworm, i looked into that and you are correct, he is harmless except to snails, which i found 2 empty shells and im guessing the flatworm is the killer. he just lost a home. thanks

there are different flatworms from what I've read, some are real bad others are a nuisance, this one is bad for snails, clams and a few other things. It hasn't bothered any others, I'm waiting till it comes out to remove from tank, maybe tonight it will be out.
