New to Corals
Hi all I have had a saltwater tank for 2 years and made alot of mistake listen to the wrong people. I have a 29 gallon tank with about 30# of live rock. I have 2 clown fish and 5 turbo snails. I have a seaclone 100 protein skimmer and just a plain old t8 light. I want to get some coral and not sure what to get or even if I have enough equipment to get any. I know i need to update my light and get some water movement. I dont have alot of spare cash right now. Please provide any info you can.
i suggest searching for some t5 lights, with atleast 4 bulbs. there are other options but these are medium priced to purchase as well as run month to month. if you look around your area you may even find a used unit, which will prob. require new bulbs. regardless, check your area to see if you have a local reefing club or something of that sort. they are great to learn new things, and maybe even pick up some cheaper used equipment.
what are you currently using for flow now? a few powerheads in the tank and you should be alright.
continue to read on the subject and feel free to ask questions.
