6 New Discus Turqs

Got 6 juvi 2.5-3.0 inch blue and red turquoise discus (4 red 2 blue)

Not the best Grade A (seem a little stunted)

BUT, nonetheless beautiful and doing great!

Right now they are in my 75g with my angels that are about 2.5-3.0 inches as well, stocking is fine for now but once they start getting larger (both angels and discus) i will be moving out some of the angels to a new home.

They were recently added to the tank after their quarantine tank.

Here is how the tank is right now.

(excuse the cloudy water, just cleaned the canister filter a few hours ago and it'll clear up over night)

Lovely fish. One suggestion, some floating plants. They are not all down close to the plants for no reason. They do not like overhead light, neither angels nor discus, and they live amongst branches and dangling roots in very dark waters. Something as simple as stem plants allowed to float will suffice. Brazilian Pennywort is ideal for this. Ceratopteris cornuta if you can get it is also superb.

I be;lideve they will be out and about much more, and displaying even brighter colouration. Nice aquascape btw.

Byron.

Thanks Byron!

I want to get some tall vals for the tank to grow up and fold over to create coverage from above since I don't really like floating plants lol
