I have 4 Tiger Barbs, and 2 of them have gotten green blotches on their stripes.
Is this normal?
Do you have any pictures? The blotches appear to be normal to me. You may the green moss strain of tiger barbs.
No i dont have any pictures, but the blotch is on the 3rd stripe back from the front.
Theres a picture. I would post it on here but theres something wrong on my computer.
They look completely fine to me. No need to worry IMHO! :)
Nice fishies BTW.
Yes they look fine, I have 13 tiger barbs 6 reg, 3 green and 4 albino.
and 1 of my regs have one of his bars slight green ting too. nothing to worry about.
i have noticed that the colors of my tiger barbs have changed over time. i have two "green" tiger barbs, and they are both turning almost a florescent blue as they get larger. its very pretty. and my adult tiger barbs are begining to have more orange coloration.
the only time the colour changed on my barbs was when
i first bought them home.in the shop they were quite pale,
but after a day at home here the colours really showed up.
the orange in the fins and nose is georgous.
